Body Battery (Daily Energy)
Body Battery (Daily Energy) Definition
An all-day energy score, roughly zero to one hundred, that charges while you rest and sleep and drains with activity and stress.
Generally, this figure is meant to give you an idea of how much physical energy you have. A higher figure meaning you have more to give.
Activities like runs or hard rides deplete the figure whilst sleep and rest periods increase it.
When it helps
As a loose mirror for how depleted you are across a whole day. Monitoring trends over time can be more useful than looking at any single figure.
When it doesn't
As a verdict on whether you are allowed to run. Plenty of good runs start on a low battery.
The common myth
The myth: a low Body Battery means you should not run. The reality: it is a model of your energy, not a measurement, and plenty of good runs start low.
